Random Wednesday: Celebrity Edition

Happy Wednesday! I'm not going to lie, I'm glad the work day is over! For some reason today was full of crazies! To keep myself sane in the crazy world of college admissions, I make sure to find some "me" time to do this:

Yes, this is my own personal putting green in my office, and yes, I am that amazing!

Anywho, here are some random celebrity facts to get you through the end of your Wednesday!

*Leonardo da Vinci invented scissors.

*Elvis had a twin.

*Jennifer Aniston's original name is Jennifer Anastassakis!

*No one knows where Mozart is buried.

*Leonardo DiCaprio got his first 'onscreen kiss' from a man

*Halle Berry's stunt double, in the movie "Cat Woman" was infact a man.

*Al Capone died in prison from syphillis - despite being the first sufferer to be treated with antibiotics

*Actor Mark Wahlberg has a third nipple

*Albert Einstein was offered the presidency of Israel in 1952, but he declined.

*****If I get enough followers I may just start to give away some stuff! But the only way that I know you are following me is if you sign up to follow me or leave comments!*****

One Little Monkey

A few weeks ago I decided to redo a lamp that I had in Carson's room. It was just too plain for me-white base with a white shade...BORING! So, thanks to Pinterest I spent a few hours hot gluing buttons to the lamp shade! I spray painted the base with a brushed nickel spray paint and this was the end result!

We have had the craziest Winter weather this year! Snow one day, 60 degrees for a week, and then temperatures in 20's the next! We try to take advantage of the warmer weather whenever possible--So Carson (or "Little Man" as I will often call him) and I decided to take a ride on his Plasma Car.

Please ignore the stacks of boxes and storage containers in the garage...we're in the process of packing up our house for the move!

And since it is late on Sunday night and I have a serious problem with waking up when my alarm goes off, I will just post some pictures from the last week!

My sister bought Little Man this monkey hat last week...now he refuses to take it off!

Favorite Friday

It's Favorite Friday: beauty edition!

Let's start off with the eos Smooth Sphere! I love the Lemon Drop SPF 15! It makes finding your lip balm easy to find in your Mary Poppins, never ending carpet bag! And the best part, it's under $5!

Next up is the AMAZING Clarisonic Mia. Mine was a gift from my mom for Christmas and I fell in love with it! It's great for at home use and just the right size to pack for weekend getaways! It's a bit pricey ($120) but worth every penny!

I color my hair A LOT, usually once every 3 or 4 weeks. This may not sound like a lot, but when you color your hair as blonde as I do, there is a significant amount of damage that occurs. My AMAZING hairdresser, Amanda, suggested this: it's a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product! After I shower, I towel dry my hair and then in the palm of my hand I spray the product 6-8 times and then work it into my hair! It doesn't leave your hair
greasy or weigh it down at all! A must have for everyone! ($12)

I am obsessed with Clinique products. My mom has always worn their products, so naturally I followed in her footsteps. I have oily skin and even though I'm 25, I still have break outs. Clinique Emergency Gel-Lotion is a zit's worst enemy! Before you go to bed, just dab a bit of the product on the huge red warrior that is thriving on your face, and I guarantee that when you wake up you will notice a HUGE difference! ($15)

Thanks for stopping by and check back on Sunday for "Sunday Funday"!

Did you know...

I have decided to celebrate each Wednesday with a slew of random facts that will HOPEFULLY get you through your Hump day! These facts, much like myself, are extremely random and at times, inappropriate! Enjoy!

-Dentists have recommended that a toothbrush be kept at least 6 feet (2 m) away from a toilet to avoid airborne particles resulting from the flush.

-Kansas state law requires pedestrians crossing the highways at night to wear tail lights.

-The average office worker spends 50 minutes a day looking for lost files and other items

-It is estimated that at any one time, 0.7% of the world's population are drunk.

-It takes about a week to make a jelly bean.

-Back to the Future was almost a Disney film. However, due to the "inappropriate" scene with Marty and his mom kissing in the car, they thought it was "too extreme" so they wouldn't take it

-Kangaroos cannot move their legs independently.

Every Monday our local paper includes a "Neighbor" section for local achivements, gatherings, or news. This Monday was an extra special edition because it included this:

This is a picture of 4 generations of Finan men! My father-in-law, Jerry, on the far left, grandfather-in-law, Charlie,  my son, Carson, and my husband Sam!
Enjoy your Hump Day and check back on Friday for "Product Friday"!
